Beer Monument Works: Long Story In The Business

The Beer family has been in the monument business in the central valley since 1933.  Beer Monument Works in Kingsburg California was opened by Harold Beer in 1946.  Beer Monuments has been providing grave markers and memorials for the past 70 years at the same location on Tenth Ave., just north of the Kingsburg Cemetery. In 1966 the monument shop welcomed Harold’s son, Gordon as an employee.  In 1982 Gordon and his wife Jerry Beer purchased the business from his father and continued the business servicing the cemeteries in the immediate area.  This area includes, Kingsburg, Selma, Dinuba, Reedley, Sanger, Fowler, Washington Colony and Laton. Beer Monument Works makes granite and bronze memorials, granite benches, ceramic pictures, flower vases, cleaning, repairs and field work. Beer Monument Works also makes plaques and other granites pieces for schools, offices, churches and many other community service organizations. Most recently Gordon’s son, Gary has teamed with Jerry in the business to keep the family tradition alive.  Our number 1 goal is to provide a quality product while assisting our customer in designing the memorial for their loved one.
